We are seeking a Laboratory Operations Associate to join our Lab Operations Team. The ideal candidate will interact with team members across the entire organization and provide lab and operations support to the Company.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Placing orders with vendors using Caribou’s purchasing software, including onboarding new vendors and quote generation
  • Managing stockroom vendor, assisting with stockroom and inventory management
  • Making and maintaining media stocks
  • Coordinating with vendors for facilities and laboratory equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Providing backup coverage on glasswash and receiving as needed
  • Providing backup coverage for hazardous waste management as needed
  • Assisting with gas cylinder inventory and coordinating deliveries with the gas vendor
  • Assisting with EHS duties
  • Assisting in Operations projects and initiatives


You should possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences or AA/AS with equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a laboratory or fast paced technical environment.
  • Strong computer skills especially with spreadsheets and databases. Ability to perform calculations for media/reagent preparation.
  • Ability to stay organized and detail-oriented while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Customer-focused with a can-do positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to share and coordinate tasks in a highly collaborative team atmosphere

 

Experience in any of these areas is a plus:

  • Purchasing software
  • Asset management
