Caribou is seeking a Research Assistant/Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join its in vivo Pharmacology team at its facility in Emeryville, CA. The candidate must be motivated, enthusiastic, professional, and committed to working as a team player. The ideal candidate combines confidence, comfort, and a working knowledge of laboratory animals, with a background in animal husbandry, restraint, and handling. In addition, experience with injection (IV, IP, SC, and PO) and blood draw techniques (RO bleed and cardiac puncture), is desirable but not required; experience with rodent surgery and anesthesia is a plus. On the job training is available. The candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and work as part of a team, follow instructions to work independently, and display a strong sense of ownership over their work. They must possess a strong attention to detail and always strive to perform quality work.
