We are seeking a motivated and experienced Analytical Development Scientist/Senior Analytical Development Associate  to join our Technical Operations team in Berkeley. The ideal candidate will interact with team members across the organization and provide Analytical Development support to the Company.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing sensitive and robust analytical test methods to support release testing, stability and characterization of investigational cell therapy drug products
  • Writing analytical test method procedures, protocols and development reports as part of analytical method transfers
  • Reviewing method qualification/validation plans and reports by vendors
  • Serving as an analytical subject matter expert within department and cross-functional areas


Candidate must possess:

  • BS degree in the life sciences required, while an advanced degree (MS, PhD) is desired
  • Minimum 2+ years (PhD) or 5+ years (BS) of analytical development experience
  • Experience with development of analytical methods such as multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, Luminex, qPCR, ddPCR and LC-MS
  • Experience developing cell-based potency assays
  • Understanding of ICH Q2 principles
  • Experience with analytical method qualifications/validations and tech transfers in regulated environments
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and planning skills in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently on projects and take initiatives
  • Possess a sense of urgency; identify challenges and problems and take the initiative to identify solutions

 

Pluses:

  • Knowledge of basic statistics
  • Experience in authoring analytical modules of CMC sections in INDs
  • Experience in developing and transferring analytical methods to contract testing labs in support of gene engineering-based cell therapy products
  • Strong writing skills
  • Understanding of Good Documentation Practices
